Little did these gentlemen suspect that they would have elementary schools named after them. |

Nor did the thought of a separate administration building cross their minds. In their day, this building on North Washington Street was red brick and was the North Elementary School. I went to kindergarten and first grade in this building in 1948-49. In the 1950's, I hung out here to dance and shoot pool when it was the teen recreation hall. |
